For approach and landings, airlines specify certain requirements which must be fulfilled to continue the approach. These include, but are not limited to:
Landing configuration (gear, flaps, speedbrakes)
Speed within -5/+10kn of target approach speed (V app)
ILS approach: max. 1 dot of LOC/GS deviation
In real life, if those parameters are not met at a certain height, also called check height, you, as a pilot, are required to go around and try another approach. If you continue despite being unstable, you should file a safety report to your airlines safety department and report your mistake.
Obviously, we can not do this in X-Plane.
However, StableApproach will generate a report after landing and tell you if the approach was stable or not !
